Situating tool

 What is situating tool?

In todays lesson, we learned about the situating tool. What do you think situating tool is? This is an application or system which allows the user to situate in an environment where they can experience the context happen. Situating tool provide students to put their ideas of the real world into practical application. Situating tool are VR(virtual realities) and 3D computer simulated images. Some of the examples of situating tools are: google earth, graphical, GeoGebra etc..


This tool help the learners to situate themselves in the environment as well as comprehend and manipulate variables. Additionally, this helps enhance the learners creativity and visualizing skills making learning fun. We can integrate this tool in teaching and learning through use of Google Earth where, it will help us to experience the Virtual reality Environment. The learners can calculate the distance of the place using the Google Earth. We used the Google Earth to trace the different places as well as used the simulation games. We also went through the GeoGebra.

1. Concept Skills

 

-A triangle with all three sides of equal length. All the angles are 60 degree


-Go to  https://www.geogebra.org

-Log in with your gmail.com

-Then click on calculators menu, select the graphic calculator options

- Draw two points A and B using the New Poin tool

- Draw a line segment AB using the Segment Tool

-Draw a circle from point A and from point B using Circle tool

- Draw the line segments AB and BC using the Segment between Two Points Tool

-Hide the circles by right clicking them and deleting the circle
